Working with digital influencers was one of my favorite projects at Sears, and it made me realize what an important part of social media this is. What seemed like a luxury at first now seems almost like a necessity (more on that here).
Here are a few of the seasonal campaigns that we collaborated with fashion bloggers on.
Fall apparel
Sara of Style MBA brought back the 70’s with some flared denim, but kept it contemporary with a cardigan on top.
Olia of Love, Olia got amazing engagement on her posts for this holiday sweater. The cozy touch with the beanie was perfect.
Holiday gifts
Our big push for the 2015 holiday season was our “Gifts Under” initiative, which promoted gifts in certain price brackets such as gifts under $20, $10, etc.
Britta and Carli of Twinspiration exceeded expectations by styling looks that were not only impressive, but managed to coordinate a twin match. They also made graphics featuring their favorite holiday gift finds under $30, $20 and $10. I love that they spoke to a younger-than-usual audience.
Activewear
True to her upscale and aspirational image (she frequently collaborates with brands like Chanel and Banana Republic) Sara opted for an all-black activewear look and really made our clothes look high end. See her post here.
We partnered with Olia of Love, Olia to announce the launch of Skechers in our Sears stores. She definitely took the clothes out for a true test run and stretch.
Our fashionistas knocked it out of the park with their activewear posts, but in the name of mixing it up and reaching out to new audiences, we elected to also work with a few fitness bloggers. We were so pleased with the results!
What I loved most about these posts was that these ladies worked out in the clothes and shared their fitness routines with us.
Here’s Michelle from 52 Thursdays getting her plank on with our sassy Namastay In Bed shirt. She also did a wonderful job of showing off the bold new prints from our new line of Everlast leggings.
Whitney of To Live and Diet in L.A. blew us away with the 7-minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout she put together while wearing our Everlast collection.
Dresses for New Year’s, Valentine’s Day and Spring
One of my all-time favorites was this look Natalie of The Fashion Hour put together for spring. Not a dress, but close enough! The pastel blue secretary’s blouse and vintage truck make her look timeless.
Nicole of The Chiffon Diaries took a gamble with a faux fur piece, but the pop of pink made her outfit so memorable.
Emily of Stiletto Beats broke out a classic Metaphor LBD (Little Black Dress) and dolled it up with a faux fur vest from our junior brand Bongo.
Shannon of Birdalamode was a great fit for Sears apparel because she was a mom as well as a fashion blogger. Here’s a New Year’s Eve dress post we collaborated with her on.
Simply Styled launch
Sara of StyleMBA put together this ultra-chic yet simple gray and white look.
It’s hard not to fall in love with our Simply Styled line as styled by Cryskay, who gave it an urban casual feel that still looked incredibly put together.
Forget about the denim rule. Deniz of Le Fashion Monster made us fall in love with neon heels, perfectly styled against the chambray shirt from the Sears Simply Styled line.
